Who is LHD?

Before interior design became my profession, I was immersed in the world of fashion, where I developed an appreciation for color, texture, and the nuanced details that elevate something from beautiful to truly special.

Design has always been part of my life. I grew up watching my parents design and build multiple custom homes, absorbing the process long before I realized its influence on me. That early exposure deepened through my uncle, a talented architect and serial custom home builder, who further sparked my fascination with how thoughtful design shapes the way we live.

That inspiration came full circle when my husband and I purchased our first home and undertook a full gut renovation. What began as a personal passion project quickly gained momentum when a local furniture store asked to photograph the home for their website. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we ultimately sold the home with a strong return, affirming both my instincts and capabilities.

Confident in that foundation, I set out to design and build our next home from the ground up. Collaborating with my uncle, we created a completely custom architectural plan, and I assumed the role of both designer and general contractor, overseeing every phase of construction while thoughtfully curating each space, finish, and furnishing to reflect exactly how we wanted to live. I promised myself that if I could successfully accomplish this, I would launch my own design firm. From that promise, LHD was born.

Today, I blend a fashion-forward perspective with a deep respect for structure, flow, and livability. My approach is hands-on, creative, and deeply personal. I believe great design is about more than how a space looks, it’s about how it feels to live there, and the visible heart behind every decision. My goal is for clients to experience that intention in every space we create, time and time again.
